The Dutch MP Motorsport driver, who is almost 100 points ahead of his closest challenger, will be champion  if he maintains a lead of more than 72 points at the end of the event, which is a maximum per race weekend.  The Dutch driver will also have the chance to be crowned champion in the rookie category if he fulfils the same conditions as above.

In the team standings, MP Motorsport could also clinch first place in the championship, with 404 points – 110 points more than the second-placed Campos Racing. The Dutch team has achieved in the five events held so far more victories than any other team, a total of seven, which allows them to go to Jerez
Jerez with a chance to seal their fifth team championship.

As in the event held at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia, the race schedules are Saturday and Sunday.
