The F4 Spanish Championship returned after the summer break. Glenn Van Berlo was indomitable on the first day of Jerez and achieved his first victory of the season.
Summer passed. Time to return to the track and welcome autumn with a cloudy sky that accompanied this first day of racing at the Jerez Circuit.
It all started with free practice. Glenn Van Berlo was the fastest on the asphalt and confirmed it in the Qualifying for Race 1. The Dutchman took the pole position and he was the favorite for the race.
Once on the track, the MP Motorsport driver respected his first place and kept it from beginning to end. Congrats for the Dutchman who experienced tasted victory for the first time! His team-mate and compatriot, Tijmen Van Der Helm, finished second, closing a great day for the team.
Championship leader Franco Colapinto and his closest challenger Kilian Meyer came in sixth and seventh respectively. However, the Argentine driver lost several positions after a small incident with Rafael Villanueva.
Meyer took advantage of this to advance on the track and reach the third position, thus discounting important points in the fight for the title.
