Glenn Van Berlo wins the final race of Portimao and achieves a convincing victory.
Second day at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve. Franco Colapinto (Drivex School) emerged as the favorite after doing the Pole and dominating the races on Saturday.
However, Glenn Van Berlo (MP Motorsport) surprised at the start and went from third place to first. The Dutchman driver wanted to continue demonstrating his good time in the championship and achieve a new victory (he had won his first two races of the season in Jerez).
The one who didn’t have a good time was the championship leader. A mistake made him lose positions and he could only recuperate to reach fourth place. For his part, Kilian Meyer (Formula of Champions – Prague) managed to maintain second place during the race and Axel Gnos (G4 Racing) took the podium thanks to third place as in Jerez.
In the fight for the Female Trophy, Belén García (Global Racing Service) returned to victory and stretched her advantage in the overall standings over Nerea Martí (Formula of Champions – Prague) and Irina Sidorkova (Drivex School).
One round remains and, provisionally, Franco Colapinto continues as leader in the overall standings. Montmeló (Barcelona) will be the last race of the season and the day that the new champion of the F4 Spanish Championship will be crowned.
See you on November 9th and 10th!
