Atypical first race at Paul Ricard

Filip Ugran clinches victory in a chaotic race that was resolved without consequences.

Accidented first day of racing at the Paul Ricard circuit. As soon as the start took place, on the straight line, Josh Dufek (MP Motorsport) had some problems that prevented him from moving forward, the car stopped in the middle of the track and Enzo Joulié (MP Motorsport), who could not avoid him, crashed into it.
Both cars remained on the straight line, obstructing the passage of the other competitors. So the Safety Car had to enter until the stewards finished picking up the two cars. However the drivers, fortunately, left the track on their own feet.

After the green flag appeared, the race started with Filip Ugran (Jenzer Motorsport) in the lead, but the accidents did not stop here, Lena Bühler’s car (DriveX) literally flew after his teammate bumped into her from behind, Valdemar Eriksen (DriveX). Despite being a really shocking accident, Lena was also able to get off the track on her own.

Regarding the podium positions, Filip Ugran took first place in a race that he dominated from start to finish, second was Kas Haverkort (MP Motorsport) who, although being on the podium, saw his winning streak ends. And the third place was for to the Spanish Mari Boya, who had been doing really good times in free practices.

Tomorrow Sunday the action continues. Qualifying 2 is at 9:00h in the morning, Race 2 at 1:50 p.m. and Race 3 at 6:25 p.m.
