Mari Boya finishes fourth but finally classifies seventh after race direction revision.
In the first race of the weekend, at Ricardo Tormo Circuit, the dutch rider widened his lead over his pursuers, Mari Boya and Oliver Goethe, by taking his fifth victory.
Kas had better pace than the others and that made the difference, only his teammate, Josh Dufek, who remained second, could follow him, although with no options to fight for victory. Behind Josh, Thomas Ten Brinke qualified third, who in the last laps managed to close the gap with the head of the race.
Mari Boya, for his part, had to settle for seventh place, in a very busy race from the beginning. As soon as it started, the safety car had to leave due to an incident between Lena Bühler and Javier Sagrera that left the Spaniard’s car in the middle of the track until the commissioners picked it up with a tow truck.
We will see what happens tomorrow in the two remaining races where Mari Boya will have the opportunity to cut points again or if, on the contrary, Haverkort will strengthen the championship even more.
