The Japanese-Australian took the leap to the FFSA F4 Academy in France from karting after winning the Richard Mille Young Talent Academy 2020. This award now grants a seat in the Spanish F4 Championship starting from 2021 and its winner will make his debut this year.
With two wins, eight podiums and three fastest laps added to his record last season, Barter finished as runner-up in the final standings. The big challenge in 2022 for him will be adapting to a totally different car than the one he drove in France but now Campos Racing adds Hugh Barter to the team with the most ambitious goal of all after his good results in his debut season.
«I feel extremely excited and honoured to join such a prestigious and well known team. We will be giving it our all this year to come home with the championship title«, said Hugh Barter.
The 2022 F4 Spanish Championship season will start next April 29th at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimao.
