Jerez welcomes the F4 Spanish Championship at its most crucial moment

The F4 Spanish Championship season enters its final rush with the penultimate round of the year in Jerez, where the competition is fiercer than ever.

Keanu Al Azhari, despite a challenging weekend in Valencia where he still secured a podium finish, leads the standings with 182 points, holding a 21-point advantage over his teammate Mattia Colnaghi, who has been the best rookie of the season so far, and 42 points over fellow teammate Maciej Gladysz (140).

The Emirati driver will aim to secure the title in Andalusia, where Juan Cota arrives as the man of the moment after this triple win in Valencia, now knocking on the door of the overall top 5, currently completed by Ernesto Rivera and Lucas Fluxá.

In the team standings, KCL by MP Motorsport (288 points) and MP Motorsport (258 points) will continue their personal battle to see which squad can deliver the seventh crown to the Dutch squad, with Griffin Core by Campos Racing (163 points) and Campos Racing (143 points) determined to fight until they are mathematically eliminated from championship contention.

This weekend’s grid in Jerez will feature 35 drivers, including several debutants —who won't score nor block point—such as Lorenzo Gomes and Edoardo Iacobucci with GRS Team USA, Joanne Ciconte with DXR by Drivex, Christopher El Feghali with Drivex Team, Chase Fernández with Rodin Motorsport, and Ariel Elkin with Sainteloc Racing.

Jerez is a circuit that combines technic, speed, and overtaking opportunities for the drivers, making it a favorite among teams and drivers in Spain.

The on-track action begins Friday with nearly two hours of testing, allowing drivers and teams to familiarize themselves with the circuit. The only free practice session of the weekend will take place on Saturday at 9:00 AM. The first qualifying session at Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto will be held at 12:20 PM local time, where we'll find out who secures the first B.R.M Chronographes Pole Position of the weekend and who will start from the front in Race 1, set for 2:30 PM local time.

On Sunday, the schedule will include the second qualifying session (9:00 AM local time), the event’s short race at 11:10 AM local time, and the final race of the weekend at 4:00 PM local time.
