The Slovakian driver faces his first full season in the Series.
GRS Team has confirmed Lukáš Málek as its second driver for the 2022 Spanish Formula 4 Championship season after announcing Russian driver Vladislav Ryabov for a second season together before the end of the year.
The young Slovakian gun already raced for GRS Team in last round of 2021 Spanish F4 Championship season at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. There, Málek showed a positive pace and an upward progression that was confirmed in post-season testing, where he gave continuity to the weekend’s duties with the team and improved his performance lap after lap.
In a season in which the F4 Spanish Championship will welcome the new Tatuus F4 T-021, Málek is looking forward to settle in the series after just two rounds contested so far but now working with a GRS Team that has confirmed in 2021 the good performance showed in 2020 and will be looking to take a step forward with its drivers this season.
«I am really excited to face my rookie season in Formula 4. For a first season with the new car, it is going to be a challenge, but with the previous experience with the team we are stepping into the season positive and ready”, said Lukáš Málek.
«After successfully working with Lukáš at the end of 2021, it is a pleasure for the team to have him onboard for the upcoming season. The team is fully convinced of the great potential he has. We are ready to work to give him the service and machinery needed to develop that potential”, added Josep Trinidad, CEO & Team Principal.
