The Portuguese driver faces his second year in F4
Spanish squad Teo Martín Motorsport has confirmed Manuel Espirito Santo as its first driver for the 2022 season of the Spanish Formula 4 Championship.
The 18-year-old Portuguese driver will thus participate in his second full season in the Championship after race in 2021 with MP Motorsport. He scored 30 points with a fifth place as his best result alongside the Dutch team to finish among the top-15 in Rookies Standings last year.
Now, Espirito Santo lands in the Madrid-based squad looking to make a qualitative leap in which to make worth all the experience gained in his first full year in single-seaters with a team that already showed in 2021 that they are ready to fight for the top in the Spanish Formula 4 Championship.
«I’m really looking forward to starting this new season with the team. I feel that they will be able to help me improve not only as a driver but also in other aspects. I hope to get good results and hit the track soon«, explained Manuel Espirito Santo, who becomes the seventh confirmed driver of the new grid that will debut this season the second generation of the Tatuus F4, the T-021.
The 2022 F4 Spanish Championship season will start next April 29th at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimao so the Portuguese driver will feel the support of the local fans in his official debut as Teo Martin Motorsport driver.
