The F4 Spanish Championship faces Round 2 in Portimao on June 7-9
The F4 Spanish Championship kicked off with a bang at the Circuito de Madrid Jarama-RACE last May, with Lucas Fluxá emerging as the main protagonist, securing two wins and becoming the first leader of the season.
Now, the series travels to Portimao for its sixth visit to the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in nine seasons, becoming a regular in the calendar and a favorite among drivers and fans. Additionally, fans will enjoy the Eurocup-3 and Porsche Sprint Challenge Iberica on the same weekend.
Once again, over 35 drivers will take part at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimao, a rollercoaster track with significant elevation changes and, due to its width, offering multiple racing lines in the corners, facilitating overtaking.
The track features a variety of corner types, from slow to medium and fast, with a special challenge being the numerous blind corners where drivers cannot see the apex due to the constant elevation changes.
Teams and drivers face a busy weekend in Portimao, including 3 hours of collective testing on Friday.
The free practice sessions will take place on Saturday at 09:00h and 11:30h local time. The first qualifying session on Portuguese soil will take place at 14:10h local time, where we will find out who will claim the first B.R.M Chronographes Pole Position of the weekend and start from pole position in Race 1, which will be held at 16:10h local time.
Sunday will be a frantic day with a schedule including the second qualifying session (09:00h local time), the short race of the event at 11:10h local time, and the final race of the weekend at 13:50h local time.
