The fifth round of the 2025 Spanish F4 Championship at Jerez delivered three different winners and another decisive step in the title race. Ean Eyckmans claimed his maiden victory in Race 1, René Lammers returned to the top step in Race 2, and championship leader Thomas Strauven secured his seventh win of the season in Race 3, putting himself within touching distance of the crown.
Race 1 began with chaos as Jan Przyrowski stalled from pole and was struck by Miguel Costa, while René Lammers jumped the start and was penalised with a drive-through. Rookie Eyckmans kept his composure to take his first Spanish F4 victory at the same circuit where he won the Richard Mille shootout one year ago. Strauven finished second after a bold move on Reno Francot, with Przyrowski unable to recover.
In Race 2, Przyrowski again stalled from pole, this time allowing Lammers to seize the lead. The Dutch driver, winless since Navarra in May, resisted pressure from a flying Juan Cota, who finished second and set the fastest lap, while Nathan Tye finally converted consistent pace into a podium. Eyckmans retired with a mechanical issue, while Strauven finished outside the points for only the second time this season.
Race 3 restored normal service at the front, with Strauven getting the better of Przyrowski off the line and controlling the race to his seventh win of the season. Przyrowski pushed hard until the last lap but could not find a way past, while Lammers completed the podium after a strong drive from fifth on the grid.
After Jerez, Strauven leads the championship on 278 points, well clear of Lammers on 168, Eyckmans on 162 and Przyrowski on 156. With a maximum of 150 points left to play for, the Belgian is within reach of clinching the title in Valencia. In the Teams’ standings, Griffin Core by Campos Racing remains on top with 365 points, ahead of MP Motorsport on 299.
The championship will now head to its penultimate round at Valencia, October 17–19.
