The F4 Spanish Championship completed its third round of the season at MotorLand Aragón, where victories were shared between Nacho Tuñón, Nathan Tye and Andrej Petrovic across three action-packed races. By the end of the weekend, Noah Monteiro had moved to the top of the Drivers’ Championship, while Mp Motorsport retained the Teams’ Championship lead despite T-Code by Amtog significantly reducing the gap and emerging as its closest challenger.
The competitive tone for the weekend was set on Saturday morning during Qualifying 1. Nathan Tye produced an excellent lap to secure pole position, his maiden F4 Spanish Championship pole position, reinforcing his status as one of the championship contenders. The session proved exceptionally close, with several drivers separated by only a few tenths around the demanding 5.3-kilometre MotorLand layout.
Race 1 delivered one of the stories of the weekend as Nacho Tuñón bounced back in style to claim victory for T-Code by Amtog. After a challenging start to the campaign, the Spaniard converted his strong pace into a well-deserved victory, leading a highly competitive field and giving his team an important boost in both championships. Behind him, the fight for podium positions remained intense throughout the race, with several of the leading title contenders exchanging positions in a tightly packed group. Nathan Tye and Andrej Petrovic completed the podium in second and third respectively. A special mention goes to Juste Mulder, who finished seventh on her F4 debut, and Luna Fluxá, who claimed eighth place and her first points in the category.
Saturday afternoon’s Race 2 belonged to Nathan Tye. Starting from the front, the Drivex driver faced relentless pressure throughout the race but produced a composed defensive drive to hold on to victory. Despite several attacks from his closest rivals, Tye remained mistake-free and crossed the line first to strengthen his championship challenge. Kasper Schormans (P2) and Nacho Tuñón (P3) completed the podium positions, while Louis Cochet (P8) scored his first points in the series.
Sunday morning’s Qualifying 2 provided another dramatic chapter. Andrej Petrovic delivered when it mattered most, securing pole position in the closing moments of the session. The T-Code by Amtog driver edged out the competition by the narrowest of margins, completing a front-row lockout for the team and confirming the squad’s excellent form around MotorLand Aragón, with an impressive 23 drivers covered by less than one second.
That momentum carried into Race 3, where Petrovic converted pole position into victory after another hard-fought contest. The Serbian driver controlled the race from the front and successfully managed the pressure behind through several restarts to secure his first win of the season. While Petrovic celebrated at the top step of the podium, Noah Monteiro (P2) put together exactly the kind of weekend he needed to take over the championship lead. Consistent points-scoring performances across the three races allowed the Portuguese driver to move into the lead of the Drivers’ Championship as the series heads into the next round. Nathan Tye also enjoyed an outstanding weekend, securing a podium finish in all three races.
MotorLand may prove to be a pivotal moment in the season. Monteiro now leads the championship battle, but with Coronel, Schormans, Lyzen, Tye and several others remaining firmly in contention, the fight for the 2026 crown remains wide open. In the Teams’ standings, Mp Motorsport continues to lead the way, although T-Code by Amtog leaves Aragón as its closest rival after a highly successful weekend that brought two victories and a pole position.
